Attend a training workshop to learn about and help monitor our Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) as part of Channelkeeper’s MPA Watch Program.
Santa Barbara’s Channelkeeper needs volunteers to help to record and track human activities in and adjacent to Santa Barbara’s Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) at Campus Point, Naples and Gaviota State Beach. MPA Watch volunteers observe and collect unbiased data on coastal and marine resource use, which provides important information to understand how people are using the newly established MPAs and to help inform MPA management.
Becoming an MPA Watch volunteer is easy and fun! Pizza and drinks will be provided! The training will last approximately 1.5 hours.
