No Kings 3 Calls to Action

By participating in NO KINGS in Santa Barbara, you’re part of the largest protest in U.S. history. Together with our Indivisible co-sponsors, we can act to make the change we want to see nationally and locally. Here are our calls for your action.

The Fund for Santa Barbara supports grassroots groups advancing progressive social change across Santa Barbara County. During the No Kings weekend of action (March 28–29), The FUND is directing donations through a special No Kings Fund to support 805 UndocuFund, the Immigrant Legal Defense Center, and SB Resiste. These frontline groups provide rapid response, legal defense, and essential support to immigrant communities—work that is fundamental to defending our democracy. Please give generously at this link. Or Text NoKings3 (all one word) to 50155.

805UndocuFund is our County’s largest organization leading rapid response to protect immigrant communities. Their efforts include community patrols, mutual aid and accompaniment, powered by a network of over 1,500 active volunteers. They ask that you:

    • Train to join their Rapid Response Network. Check here for trainings.
    • Follow them on social media. @the805undocufund.org and @805respuestarapida
    • Attend City Council and County meetings when 805UF (along with Indivisible and other partners) advocate for policies to protect immigrant communities and uphold our constitutional rights.
CAUSE is a base-building organization committed to social, economic, and environmental justice for working-class and immigrant communities. CAUSE asks you to:

Use this link to express your support for Rent Stabilization in the City of Santa Barbara
    • Together with MICOP, use this link to demand that Santa Barbara County pass a Living Wage For Farmworkers

Our communities deserve to stay housed and thrive, not be pushed out by rising costs and stagnant pay. Stand with CAUSE to win real protections, because housing stability and fair wages are non-negotiable!

Commit to Democracy writes postcards and engages in other actions to get out the vote. They ask that you sign up for postcarding, texting and phone banking to help save our democracy.

Democratic Women of Santa Barbara County champions Democratic principles and candidates. They ask you to support passage of the ERA (28th Amendment). Please look for their petition at the No Kings event.

Immigrant Legal Defense Center provides free legal services and civil rights education to indigent immigrants in deportation proceedings. They ask that you call our Assemblymember Gregg Hart’s office (805-564-1649), or email them, to tell them you support his bill, AB 2257, giving our County the power to have someone other than our Sheriff run our County Jail.

Indivisible Santa Barbara is a progressive group affiliated with the national Indivisible organization that has led the largest protests in Santa Barbara history, from Hands Off to No Kings. They ask that you use this form to demand that Congress bring an end to the war with Iran, and that you sign this letter urging our County Supervisors to limit the planned expansion of the North County Jail.

League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara promotes democratic values by voter registration and education, and holding candidate forums. They ask you to sign the petition linked here to limit funding to just one housing unit addition at Santa Barbara County’s North Branch Jail.

The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors is considering approval of over $460 million (including long-term financing and staffing) to expand the North Branch Jail by 1½ Housing Units (384 beds). We call on the Board to limit the addition to just one housing unit (256 beds) at a savings of approximately $147 million.

MICOP (the Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project) is dedicated to support, organize and empower the indigenous migrant communities of California’s Central Coast. Together with CAUSE, it asks that you demand the passage of a Living Wage For Farmworkers in Santa Barbara County.

Planned Parenthood California Central Coast is our region’s most trusted provider of reproductive health care. They ask you to:

    • Sign up for their supporter card; it’s a free, low-commitment way to support Planned Parenthood and learn more about their local events and calls to actions.
    • Sign up to become a volunteer! They have many opportunities and ways to get involved, from community mixers to tabling alongside them at events.

SB Resiste is a local grassroots collective that formed to organize against ICE terror, to respond to community defense needs, and to build community resilience long-term. They ask you to:

    • Demand the defunding and abolition of ICE
    • Call the Santa Barbara City Council (805-564-5318) to demand removal of Flock surveillance cameras and termination of the City’s contract with Flock. Get the Flock out of here!

Santa Barbara Women’s Political Committee endorses candidates and promotes a feminist agenda. They ask that you join them, sign up for a Committee, and more importantly, VOTE in the 2026 Midterm elections.

Sierra Club Santa Barbara works to protect a sustainable future and a healthy environment across the Santa Barbara region. They ask you to email the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission by April 5 to support an ordinance prohibiting new oil drilling projects in the County. More information here.
