This webinar will offer a critique of carbon pricing models like carbon tax and cap-and-trade. These models have gained momentum in political circles in recent years largely because they require very little public investment. In practice they have failed to meaningfully reduce greenhouse gases, and have actually created pollution hotspots, concentrating pollution in low income communities. This webinar will make the case for why we need to oppose efforts to put a price on carbon as a climate solution and instead advocate for a rapid, just, and equitable transition to 100% clean renewable energy.
