In just one week, President Trump has insulted our NATO allies, called the European Union America’s “foe,” labeled the free press an “enemy of the people,” denied the Russian interference and propaganda in our elections, and denigrated the nation’s intelligence community on the world stage.
It is time for us as a nation to take corrective action by calling our Members of Congress and insisting that the Mueller investigation be allowed to run its course without political interference, and that our Senators not confirm a Supreme Court nominee who thinks the President is above the law. Call and demand that they condemn Donald Trump’s shameful actions and his rejection of our American values. Wednesday join the Vigil for Democracy from 6:00-7:00 pm at the corner of Anapamu and State.
Finally we must commit to voting in November against anyone who is more concerned with protecting the President than with protecting our country. This is a crisis of Democracy unlike any we have ever faced. Our vote is our best and only defense.
