UCSB Multicultural Center
Student Activist Network is hosting a Sexual Assault Town Hall in the MCC Lounge.
In May 2017, the UCSB administration agreed to a list of 12 demands to reform the university’s handling and conduct on sexual assault. Demand 11 demanded that the “UC President conduct yearly UC tours, where they will hold a public Sexual Assault/Sexual Violence Town Hall at every single UC campus once per year, in order to hold them publicly accountable and provide spaces for students to directly communicate demands and grievances to UCOP and to the UC-wide administration.”
In fulfilling this demand, Robin Holmes Sullivan, Vice President for Student Affairs at the UC Office of the President, will be attending the Sexual Assault Town Hall as representative for Janet Napolitano, President of University of California.
As there is an opportunity to press a UC-wide administrator directly about student grievances, please submit any questions or concerns you would like Dr. Sullivan to prepare a thorough response to with appropriate data findings and background by Jan 8th.
If you are interested in joining the student panel, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org!
