Want to help our community dig out from the Montecito Debris Slide? Join the Santa Barbara Bucket Brigade (SB³)! The all volunteer group continues to help Montecito residents reclaim their homes and lives, one bucket at a time.

The next official volunteer weekend is March 17-18, weather permitting.

What you need to join a Bucket Brigade: a smile, boots (or sensible shoes) long pants, long sleeve shirt, shovel, gloves, N95 dust mask, coveralls. Don’t worry if you don’t have some of those things. They will supply you with coveralls, masks, gloves and shovels.  (Don’t forget to bring the shovels back at the end of the day!)

If you what to help but don’t want to dig, join their LOGISTICS TEAM  to deliver supplies, tools and lunches to volunteers in the field.  This Team also organizes all of the gear to keep the Brigade 100% Mission Ready! You can also make a monetary donation to the Santa Barbara Bucket Brigade.

To become a volunteer, email teafirerelief@gmail.com and write VOLUNTEER in the subject line. You will then receive all updates from the SB3 leadership team. You can also visit Santa Barbara Bucket Brigade on Facebook for information and calls for need-specific volunteers.

If you need help digging out your home, email teafirerelief@gmail.com and write “NEED HELP” in the subject line. If your trees are buried in the mud, email teafirerelief@gmail.com and write “SAVE OUR TREES” in the subject line.
