Event Type

Join politically motivated locals who regularly use Indivisible’s guide in penning letters and signs. Write or make mail art to whomever you want – it feels good and is tangible action. We are always interested in new resources and addresses.

It’s been so fun to keep winning!  There is plenty at stake before the the congress starts in January.  This is a very dynamic and politically dangerous moment so let’s stay on top of it. Tomorrow will be for voters in Mississippi for Mike Espy’s Senate race, held Nov. 27th.

If you want to get started here are some talking points from Postcards To Voters:

Required Message Items
====================================
These exact message items must be written by hand on each of your cards, without exception:

1. Vote Mike Espy, Democrat for U.S. Senate.
2. Special Election Runoff is Tuesday, Nov. 27th.
3. Good government starts with good voters like you.

Optional Items (Depending on space.  You can reword etc.)
====================================
– I’m volunteering to write this because the stakes are so high.
– I am mailing this to you on my own dime because it’s that important.
– Your vote will matter more than ever. (Yay you!)
– Please make a plan to vote.
– Democracy only works when more of us vote.
– History is made by those who show up…and vote!
– Write with us! Email: Join@TonyTheDemocrat.org

– As Senator, Mike will:
Protect Mississippi’s farms and rural communities.
Fight against trade wars that drive up tariffs on Mississippi crops.
Improve teacher pay and how they are treated.
Ensure all families’ access to health care.
Reassure people with preexisting conditions that they will not be denied or priced out.
Work to increase the supply of child care services.
Support paid family leave, an increased minimum wage, and an expanded Earned Income Tax Credit.

Clarity and charm are probably more important than cramming in a lot of text.  And of course, please remember to leave enough space for the address, stamp, and at the bottom for the post office sticker-stip.
