Join Food and Water Watch and SB Standing Rock Coalition for a photo campaign to show our County Supervisors that students stand against ALL new oil development in Santa Barbara. Meet in the Arbor walkway outside UCSB Library.
Why we need YOU to participate with us now; In the wake of increased environmental disasters it’s clear that the impacts of climate change are already harming our communities. We need to move off fossil fuels and make a just transition to 100% clean energy by 2030 in order to avoid climate chaos.
On February 6th the Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors approved a pipeline that could enable the oil industry to transport MORE OIL out of Santa Barbara County. ERG’s Foxen Canyon Pipeline has the capacity to move 5X more oil than the industry could move by truck.
The oil industry continuously profits off community health and exploitation of the Earth and we say ENOUGH.
