Date(s) - Friday, January 11
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
You are invited to hear Chet Work, Executive Director of the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County for the past four years. Prior to coming to Santa Barbara, Chet worked for a decade to conserve family farms and ranches in Wyoming and Idaho by working with both the Nature Conservancy and the Teton Regional Land Trust. He holds a Masters in Environmental Management from Duke University, with post graduate study in natural history and environmental education at the Teton Science School in Jackson Wyoming. He is a graduate of the rigorous Executive Leadership Program through the Land Trust Alliance, the umbrella organization for the 1,700 land trusts throughout the country. Please come to learn about the Santa Barbara Land Trust, and note that although Alliance normally meets on the first Friday of each month, Friday, January 11 is the second Friday in January. Bring healthy appetizers and your questions for Chet about the goals and work of the Land Trust.
Join Alliance at 2:00 p.m. in Parish Hall on the first Friday of each month from October to June (with an exception for January) for a stimulating presentation and the tea which follows. All are welcome: USSB congregants, friends, neighbors, men and women of all ages. Your contribution of some goodies to share makes our tea a delicious afternoon treat. We look forward to welcoming you.
