Rep. Salud Carbajal (CA-24) will host an immigration forum with immigration experts, including a representative from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), who will answer questions related to immigration benefits and to explain the overall application and approvals process for general immigration petitions. Forum speakers include:

Graciela Arreola-Muñoz, USCIS Community Relations Officer
Consul Javier Cerritos, Consul of Protection & Legal Affairs from Consulate of Mexico in Oxnard
Dr. Melissa Moreno, SBCC Interim Vice President for the School of Extended Learning
Paul Jarrell, SBCC Executive Vice President of Educational Programs
Jose Martinez, SBCC Community Education Coordinator
At the forum, attendees will also receive updates regarding the DREAM Act, a bipartisan bill cosponsored by Rep. Carbajal that would provide DREAMers with permanent legal status and a pathway to citizenship.
 
The forum will be held primarily in Spanish. Simultaneous interpreting services will be available to audience members from Spanish to English.
